Examination Results

The DSM examinations are pass/fail examinations based on a calculated scaled score. The score reported is NOT a percentage value. Passing scores will be reported as "Pass," meaning that a minimum acceptable passing scaled score of 75 was obtained. Failing scores will be reported as "Failed," with the actual scaled score provided.

NABP will forward your DSM results directly to you. Please allow two weeks for processing and mailing. If you are in a state that has a program offering reimbursement or if you belong to a group that offers third-party reimbursement it is your responsibility to forward your score(s) to that state and/or entity.

Pharmacists receiving a passing score on the DSM examinations will receive a nationally recognized credential from the National Institute for Standards in Pharmacist Credentialing (NISPC) and will be listed on NISPC’s and NABP’s websites.
